Increasing the number of social grants to teenage mothers will have a deletrious effect on all aspects of their lives. Let take a look at them.

1.Social Life

Many teen mother experience low self-esteem. They regard themselves as outcasts. They often withdraw from social life and live hermetic lives. The society worsens the situation further by looking down upon them.

2.Financial Life

Because these teen mothers often do not have  jobs, their financial lives are in limbo. They often depend on the social grants of the government for their upkeep. If the grants are increased many teen mothers do not see the value of looking for employment. They become lazy and complacent.

3. Education

Millions of teen mothers across the world drop out of school to give birth and raise their children. Their education often ceases after they become pregnant. Increasing the number of social grants is likely to have a detrimental effect  on their studies. These teen mothers often think that someone else wil take care of them forever and that they do not need to complete their studies.
