the purpose of this study was to determine how storytelling and story reading influence the language development and story comparison of young children from 3 to 5 years of age during the study two groups of the children are the same 24 stories group I heard the stories told and groupby heard the stories I read from a book the language pre and post samples were elected from the participants byree telling a story they had hot and creative creating a story using a world picture book the language sample word on script and analysed using measures of language complexity and story comparison boat story telling a story reading were found to produce positive games in oral language differences between the two groups indicated at young children who were the stories told demonstrated improved story comparison in there telling well children in the story reading group improve their language complexity
