In order to maintain the standard of technical education, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was set up in India. AICTE is responsible for the planning, formulation and maintenance of norms and standards, quality assurance through accreditation, monitoring and evaluation, maintaining of certification and awards and integrated development and management of technical education in the country.
In this era of unemployment, only technical education can assure one of a job or source of income in terms of technical skills and it can provide comfortable living.
