Answer:

3:2:6:5:7

3x + 2x + 6x + 5x + 7x = 4600

23x = 4600

x =  \frac{4600}{23}

x = 200

now

3x = 3 × 200 = 600Rs

2x = 2 × 200 = 400Rs

6x = 6 × 200 = 1200Rs

5x = 5 × 200 = 1000Rs

7x = 7 × 200 = 1400Rs

Given :

  • The income of a businessman in last 5 years is in the ratio 3:2:6:5:7.
  • The average of income of last five years is ₹ 4600.

To Find :

  • The income of each year.

Solution :

Let's Assume,

  • The income of first year be 3b
  • The income of second year be 2b
  • The income of third year be 6b
  • The income of fourth year be 5b
  • The income of fifth year be 7b

According to the Question :

  • 3b + 2b + 6b + 5b + 7b = 4600
  • 5b + 11b + 7b = 4600
  • 16b + 7b = 4600
  • 23b = 4600
  • b = 4600/23
  • b = ₹ 200

Therefore :

  • The income of first year = 3b
  • The income of first year = 3 × 200
  • The income of first year = ₹ 600

  • The income of second year = 2b
  • The income of second year = 2 × 200
  • The income of second year = ₹ 400

  • The income of third year = 6b
  • The income of third year = 6 × 200
  • The income of third year = ₹ 1200

  • The income of fourth year = 5b
  • The income of fourth year = 5 × 200
  • The income of fourth year = ₹ 1000

  • The income of fifth year = 7b
  • The income of fifth year = 7 × 200
  • The income of fifth year = ₹ 1400

Hence, the income for first , second , third , fourth and fifth year are ₹ 600 , ₹ 400 , ₹ 1200 , ₹1000 , ₹1400 respectively.
