Given,

The ratio of the initial income of the man and the increased income of the man is 7:8

The amount of increase in his income is rs. 4500

To find,

The new income of the man.

Solution,

Let,the initial income and the increased income of the man = rs. 7x and rs. 8x

(Assume, x as a variable to do the further mathematical calculations.)

Increased amount in his income = 8x-7x = rs. x

Now,if we compare the amount of increased income that we have calculated and the amount of increased income given in the question,we will get the following mathematical equation,

x = 4500

New income = 4500×8 = rs. 36000

Hence,his new income is rs. 36000
