Step-by-step explanation:

Assuming income of A and B are 3x and 4x

and their expenditure are 4y and 5y

then there saving are 3x - 4y and 4x - 5y

As given B save 1/3 rd of his income

then 4x - 5y = 4x/3

12 x - 15 y = 4x

8x = 15 y

x = 15y/8

then ratio of their saving = 3x-4y/4x-5y

= (45y/8 - 4y ) / (60y/8 - 5y )

= 13y / 20y

= 13/20

ratio is 13 : 20
