There are various reasons to be called food bowl.
1) SOIL
. • If the soil is alluvial then there is plenty of chances for the high production of food grains. Alluvial soil is best classified soil in India.
2) CLIMATIC CONDITION
. • The climatic condition must satisfy to the agriculture resource. In India we are dependent on monsoon so rain is much more cause for the food production in India.
3) RIVERS AND CANALS
. • There must be good irrigation system through canals as water in canals comes from river. So a lot more food production dependent on canal system.
IN INDIA, gangetic plains are are food bowl. Oh yes, PUNJAB and HARYANA are also called food bowl of India as all above points are fulfil there.
