Iodine solution is indicator to test the starch presence in leaves.

Explanation:

Iodine solution is the indicator which is used tests the existence of starch in leaves. As we know that during photosynthesis glucose is produced and stored as granules of starch in the stroma of the chloroplast. So to test the storage of the starch in the leaves we can follow some steps:

• We need to take a fresh leaf.

• Boil the leaf to soften the cells of the leaves.

• Now dip the leaf in the iodine solution and wait for the changes.

• If the starch is present then the colour of the leaf will be change to blue-black colour.
