The individual chromosome no longer be seen and each set of chromosome material tends to collect at each of two poles.(in telophase of mitosis)

at the beginning of the final stage of mitosis i.e telophase the chromosomes that have reached their respective poles decondense and lose their individuality.

this is the stage which shows the following key events:
•chromosomes cluster opposite spindle poles and their identity lost as discrete elements.
nuclear envelope assembles around the chromosome clusters.
•nucleolus, Golgi complex and ER reform.
