The French revolution was the first to come up with the idea of nationalism and equality . All educated and muddle class mingled together and formed culbs .

It brought the sense of freedom and armies along with people took a critical part in this movement . They go together to other places and spred nationalism and put forward the concept of equality among all citizens , hence considered as harbingers of liberty . The concept of freedom of thought , freedom of speech and freedom of faith and workship was explained , described and thought by them .But people found that this did not go along with political freedom .

But it is true that Liberty cannot be divorced from equality , equality cannot be divorce from liberty , nor liberty or equality be divorced from fraternity. This was adopted by Indians too ( BR Ambedkar ) .

Answer:

1The French empire was divided into 3 estates but only the third estate had to bear the burden of paying taxes.

2.Only a small amount peasants owned the land they cultivated.

3.The members of the first 2 estates which were the clergy and the nobility used to enjoy certain privileges by birth which included exemption from paying taxes, extracting feudal dues from peasants.

These factors which indicated inequality in the French regime were major player in the path to the revolution.
