The infectious diseases are caused by some of the biological agents called
pathogens such as virus, bacteria, fungi and protozoans etc. These organisms
belong to kingdom - Monera, Protista, Fungi etc. The organisms which
belong to kingdom-Monera are unicellular prokaryotes. Protista group
includes many kinds of unicellular eukaryotic organisms. The organisms of
this group cause diseases like amoebiasis, malaria etc.
