Given :   the initial and the final temperature of a copper sphere was measured by an observer to be (41.2+/-0.1)°c and (31.0-/+0.3)°c respectively

To Find : change in the temperature of the sphere with proper error limits is

Solution:

initial temperature of a copper sphere = (41.2+/-0.1)°c

final temperature of a copper sphere = (31.0-/+0.3)°c

change in the temperature  =  41.2 - 31.0

= 10.2 °C

Error Limits gets added

±-0.1   ,  -/+0.3

= ± 0.4 °C

change in the temperature of the sphere with proper error limits =   10.2  ± 0.4 °C

HELLO DEAR,

GIVEN:- Initial temperature of copper sphere measured by observer

= (41.2+/-0.1)°c

And final temperature of copper sphere measured by observer

= (31.0-/+0.3)°c

To find change in temperature of copper sphere with proper error limits.

SOLUTION:- Change in temperature

= ( Greater temperature - lower temperature)

= ( 41.2 - 31.0) °c

= 10.2 °c

And change in error limit of temperature=

= ( 0.3 ) -(- 0.1)

= (0.4)°c

Therefore ,

Answer is = (10.2+/- 0.4)°c

I HOPE IT'S HELP YOU DEAR,

THANKS.
