you should subtract the smaller circumference from bigger circumference..

here inner circumference = 44cm
2πr=44
44/7*r = 44
r = 7
outer circumference = 88cm
2πr = 88
r = 88*7/44
r = 17
so widtch = 14 -7 = 7cm
