Area of cross section of pipe is 28.26 square centimeter

Solution:

The area of cross of pipe is given as:

Area = \pi (R^2 - r^2)

Where,

R is the radius of outer pipe

r is the radius of inner pipe

From given,

R = 5 cm

r = 4 cm

Substituting the values we get,

Area = 3.14 (5^2 - 4^2)\\\\Area = 3.14 ( 25 - 16)\\\\Area = 3.14 \times 9\\\\Area = 28.26

Thus area of cross section of pipe is 28.26 square centimeter
