For a device having input and output

Find-  Here, we have to find the voltage gain in decibels

Explanation:

Given:-

Input power to a device P_{in}=10,000 W

Output power P_{out}=500 W

Input voltage V_{in}=1000 V

Output Impedance Z=100 Ω

By the formula of power

P=\frac{V_{o} ^{2} }{R}\\500=\frac{V_{o} ^{2} }{100}  \\V_{o} =223.61 V

voltage gain

A_{v}=\frac{V_{o} }{V_{i} }  \\=\frac{223.61}{1000}\\A_{v}=0.223

voltage gain in decibels

=20log(0.223)=-13.01 dB
