The input resistance of a common emitter amplifier is 2 kohm and AC current gain is 20. If the load resistor used 5 kohm, calculate (i) voltage gain (ii) transconductance

i) Volate gain = 50
ii) Transconductance = 10 /kΩ

● Explanation -
# Given -
Ri = 2 kΩ
Ro = 5 kΩ
β = 20

# Solution -
Transconductance is calculated by -
K = β / Ri
K = 20 / 2
K = 10 /kΩ

Voltage gain is calculated by -
Voltage gain = K × Ro
Voltage gain = 10 × 5
Voltage gain = 50


Therefore, volate gain is 50 and transconductance is 10 /kΩ .
