Answer:

62400 kg

Explanation:

Density = mass/volume.

Thus Mass = Density * Volume

                  = 1.3 * (80*40*15)

                  = 62400 kg

The answer is 62,400 kg

GIVEN

The inside of a sports hall measures 80m long, 40m wide by 15 m high. The air in it has a density of 1.3kg/m³ when it is cool.

TO FIND

Mass of the air.

SOLUTION

We can simply solve the above problem as follows;

We know that,

Density = Mass/Volume.

Now,

The volume of air = Volume of the hall

Volume of cuboid = l × b × h

Where,

l = length

b = breath

h = Height

Now,

Volume of the hall = 80 × 40 × 15 = 48000 m³

Now,

1.3 = Mass/48000

Mass = 62,400 kg

Hence, The answer is 62,400 kg
