many species come close,but very few fit the bill. Domestic animals cannot be picky eaters.Secondly, they differ in nature and can't breed in captivity!!

Some animals have been domesticated while others did not because throughout history people have bred domesticated animals to promote certain traits. They are chosen for their ability to breed in captivity. Their ability to resist diseases and survive under harsh conditions was also considered.
