As we know that

Given,

amount = ₹5640

Rate = %

and the  Time = years

So that,

Interest = P × R × T/100

= 5640 × 5 ×3/100

= 5640× 3/20

= 282 × 3

= 846

Hence the interest on ₹5640at a rate of5% per annum for 3years is846.

Given: P=5640,R=5%%,T=3.

We have to find the interest.

For this, we are using the formula of simple interest. i.e.

S.I.=\frac{P*R*T}{100}

Now, put the given values in the formula.

S.I.=\frac{5640*5*3}{100} \\\\S.I.=846

Hence, The simple interest is 846.
