the interior angle of a regular polygon is 20 more than the thrice of exterior angle. What is the sum of the exterior and interior angles of a vertex

Answer:

Let interior angle be i and exterior angle be e, then i = 20 + 3e....(1)

I+e =180

I = 180 - e

put this value of I in (1)

180 -e =20+3e

180 - 20 = 3e + e

4e = 160

e = 160/4 = 40

I = 180 - 40 = 140
