See, in coastal areas the temperature remains constant/ moderate throughout the year because of land and sea breezes. But this doesn't happen in interior parts of continents as they are very far from oceans. So they have greater annual range of temperature.

The range of temperature is high in the interior of the continent because places located in the interior of the continent are far away from the moderating influence of the sea.
