the internal and external radii  of a hollow cylinder are 12cm and 18cm respectively.if its height is 14cm then find its curved surface area and total surface area

Solution :
Given R1= 12 , R2= 18 and  h = 14
1) Curved Surface area of the cylinder = 2 π r h
Of R1 =2
π12*14
=1055.57
sq.cm
of
R2=2
π18*14
= 1583.36
sq cm

2) Total surface Area
=curved surface areas of R1+
curved surface area of R2
+2
π(R2²-R1²).
=1055.57+1583.36+(2π(324-44))
= 2638.93+2( 565.48)
= 3769.89 sq.cm
