Solution:-

Internal dimensions of cuboid are L = 1.2 m = 120 cm ; B = 80 cm and H = 50 cm
Volume of the box = L*B*H
= 120*80*50
= 480000 cu cm
When position of cubes would occupy space according to length = 17*7 = 119 cm in length and 1 cm space is left.
Similarly, according to width = 11*7 = 77 cm and 3 cm space is left.
And, according to height = 7*7 = 49 cm and 1 cm space is left.
Hence, number of cubes can be packed 17*11*7
= 1309 cubes
Volume occupied = 119*77*49
= 448987 cu cm
Space left empty = 480000 - 448987
= 31013 cu cm
