we have to find the internal energy of one mole of argon at 400K.

solution : internal energy for an ideal gas is given by, U = 3/2 nRT

here n = no of moles = 1

R = universal gas constant = 25/3 J/mol/K

T = temperature = 400K

so, U = 3/2 × 1 × 25/3 × 400

= 200 × 25

= 5000 J

Therefore the internal energy of argon at 400K is 5000 J.
