The internal measurements of the box are 10cm long 16cm wide and 24cm high .how many 4 cm cubes could be put into the box.

{\huge{\underline{\underline{\sf{\blue{Given :-}}}}}}

  • Length of the box (/) = 20 cm
  • Breadth of the box (b) = 16 cm
  • Height of the box (h) = 24 cm

Therefore,

Volume of the box = l × b × h

Cubic \:  units \:  = 20 \times 16 \times 24 \: cm ^{2}

Side of the cube = 4 cm

Therefore,

Volume \:  of  \: the \:  cube \:  = (side) ^{3}  \: cm ^{3}

 = (4) ^{3}  \: cm ^{3}  = (4 \times 4 \times4 ) \: cm ^{3}

Therefore,

Number \:  of  \: cubes \:  which \:  can \:  be  \: </p><p>put  \: in  \: the  \: box  \: =  \:  \frac{Volume \:  of \:  the  \: box }{Volume \:  of  \: each  \: cubes }

 =  \frac{20 \times 16 \times 24}{4 \times 4 \times 4}  = 120
