the internal measures of of a cuboidal room are 12m*8m*4m. find the total cost of whitewashing all four walls of a room , if the cost of whitewashing is rupees 12 per meter square. what will be the cost of whitewashing if the ceiling of the room is also whitewashed​

first find the area of four wall = 2(l+b)×h

= 2(12+8)×4

= 2×20×4m

=160m²

now find the area of ceiling = l×b

=12×8 m

= 96m²

now, add both

160m² + 96m²

= 256m²

now, find the cost of whitewash

1m² = 12 rupees

256m² = 12×256 rupees

= 3072 rupees
