Area = 2h(l + b) + lb

         = 2 * 4(12 + 8) + 12 * 8

        = 8(20) + 96

        = 160 + 96

       = 256.



Given the cost of whitewashing per sq meter = 8.

The cost of the whitewash = 256 * 8

                                             = 2048.
