To Find,

Time taken for the clock to get to 10 : 10 pm

Solution,

Every 60 mins = 1 hr

So in after 60 mins i.e. 1 hr  the time will be 8 : 15 pm

Similarly after another 60 mins i.e. 1 hr the time will be 9 : 15 pm

Similarly after another 55 mins the time will be 10 : 10 pm

Thus the interval between 7 : 15 pm to 10 : 10 pm is 2 hr 55 mins

Henceforth, the interval is 2 hr 55 mine i.e. 175 mins.
