Actually it's not the fault of science but of the people who misuse it. Griffin misused science for his selfishness. Science can be a boon and can also be a curse it all depends on how we use it. In invisible man Griffin misuses it for his selfishness and greed, he harmed people , he troubled them and he came out to be a disaster for the people around him.
