This report deals an attempt for a successful green synthesis of hydroxyapatite nanoplates assisted from Moringa oleifera flower extract and 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ionic liquid. The prepared nanoplates were calcinated at two different temperatures and the crystallinity, particles size and morphology were studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), high resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and atomic force microscopy (AFM) techniques. These results proved the crystal growth nucleation of HAp nanoplates at different calcination temperatures. FTIR results were established the interaction of ion precursors with polyphenolic hydroxyl groups from flower extract. The important role of ionic liquid assessment also confirmed the formation of amorphous into crystalline plate like structures.
