The ionic radius of oxygen is 180pm why 80 pm longer than atomic radius ?

this is so because an oxygen atom requires 2valance electrons to complete his octate and as the number of electrons increases the force applied by 16protons gets divided which leads to decreased electrostatic force.this results in increased radius of oxygen ion.
