the ionisation enthalpy of group 15 is higher than that of group 14 as ionisation enthalpy increases as we from left to right . While in case of group 16 the ionisation enthalpy is less than that of group 15 because the electronic configuration of group 15 is 2s²2p³while that of group 16 is 2s²2p⁴. the electronic configuration of group 15 elements that is 2p³is half filled means that it is highly stable therefore more energy is required to remove the electron from group 15 valence shell.
