Judicial branch is the final interpreter of the Constitution and unless an amendment reverses a constitutional ruling or the Court later reverses itself, its judgment on the Constitution is final, placing a significant potential check on the powers and actions of the Executive and Legislative Branches.  Thus it guards the Constitution from being either too narrowly viewed, or too broadly viewed by the other two branches.
