Explanation:

The value of v can be obtained directly using energy frequency relation,

hv = energy

where, h = Constant of Planck

v = Energy (in keV) / h

The graph is shown in below:  

When e jumps to n = 1 from n = 3, KB radiation happens.  

 \Delta E=h v=R h c(z-h)^{2}\left(\frac{1}{2^{2}}-\frac{1}{3^{2}}\right)

\Rightarrow \sqrt{v}=\sqrt{\frac{9 R C}{8}}(z-h)

Therefore, √v is proportional to z.

We need to find this √v and the above graph denotes the same. Here, n is the principal quantum number.
