Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was the killedar of the Raigad fort.

Explanation:

  • The Raigad Fort is located on top of the Sahyadri Mountain in Mahad, Maharashtra.
  • The huge fort is very majestic and it can be accessed only from one side where there is a path built with 1737 steps.
  • On the other three sides are deep valleys. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj captured the Raigad Fort and renovated it and thereafter named it the capital of Maratha kingdom. The British called it the Rock of Gibraltar.
