mass = 0.5 kg

velocity = 4 m/s

kinetic energy is given as:

ke =  \frac{1}{2} m {v}^{2}  =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 0.5 \times  {4}^{2}  = 4 \: joule

kinetic energy is 4 joule.

The kinetic energy of the ball = ½ m * v^2 where m is the mass of the ball whereas v is the velocity at which it is moving,

Hence, K = ½ * 0.5 * 4^2

K = ½ * 5/10 * 4 * 4

K = ½ * ½ * 4 * 4

K = 4 J
