Answer:

400 J is the required kinetic energy .

According to the Question

It is given that,

Velocity ,v = 10m/s

Kinetic Energy ,KE = 100J

we have to calculate the kinetic energy of the body when the velocity of body is doubled .

Firstly we calculate the mass of the object

Using Formula

KE = ½ mv²

by substituting the value we get

↠ 100 = ½ × m × 10²

↠ 100 = ½ × m × 100

↠ 100 = m × 50

↠ m = 100/50

↠ m = 2Kg

Now, calculating the kinetic energy

when velocity is doubled .

→ v' = 10 × 2 = 20m/s

Using Formula we get

KE ' = ½ mv'²

↠ KE' = ½ × 2 × 20²

↠ KE' = 400J

Hence, the kinetic energy of the object when the velocity is doubled is 400 Joules .

Answer:

Mass of the object = m

Velocity of the object = v = 5 m/s

Kinetic energy, EK = 25 J

(i) If the velocity of an object is doubled, then v = 5 × 2 = 10 m/s

kinetic energy = 25 × 4 = 100 J.
