The mass of the object, m = m kg

The speed of the object, v = 5 m/s

The Kinetic Energy, K.E = 25 J

We know that ,

kinetic \: energy =  \frac{1}{2} mv ^{2}

From this ,,,

Kinetic Energy ,K.E = 1/2 × m× (5)^2

25 = 1/2 × m × 25

m = 2 kg

(i) Now the Velocity of the object is doubled,,

v2 = 2v1

= 2( 5)

v2 = 10 m/s

Kinetic Energy, K.E = 1/2 × m × (v2)^2

= 1/2 × 2 × 10^2

= 100 J

The Kinetic Energy is 100 J.

(ii) Now the velocity is tripled ,,

v3 = 3v1

= 3 ( 5)

v3 = 15 m/s

Kinetic energy, K.E = 1/2 × m × (v3)^2

= 1/2 × 2 × (15)^2

= 225 J

The kinetic energy is 225 J
