Question

the kinetic energy of an object of mass ,m moving woth a velocity of 5 m s-1 is 25 J .What will be its kinetoc energy when its velocity is doubled ? what will be its kinetic energy when its velocity is increased three times

Answer: 225 J

SOLUTION

If velocity increased by 2 times the kinetic energy increases 4 times

So ,in first case kinetic energy,

⇒ K. E =25 x 4

⇒ 100 J

If velocity increases by 3 times then K. E is,

⇒ 9 x 25

⇒ 225 J

HOPE THIS HELP U !
