The kinetic energy of cat running with a velocity of 10m/s is 500 joule. Find the kinetic energy of the cat

(i) if its velocity is doubled

(ii) if its velocity is increased 8 times

given kinetic energy =500j
and velocity = 10m/s
let mass =m
then kinetic energy =1/2 × m × v square
500 =1/2×m×10×10
500=50m
500/50=m
10kg=m
1. if velocity is doubled
then
k=1/2 m×v square
k=1/2×10×20×20
k=2000J

2. if velocity is increased 8 times
then
k =1/2m×v square
k=1/2×10×80×80
k=5×6400
k=32000J
