Answer:

Explanation:

according to principle of homogeneity

[kinetic energy]=[mass]^a [velocity]^b

we know that [mass]=[M]   [velocity]=[MLT^-1]   [kinetic energy]=[ML²T-²]

by equating both sides

[ML²T^-²]=[M]^a[LT^-1]^b=[M^a][L^bT^-b]

it implies a=1   b=2    -b=-2

∴equation of kinetic energy =Kmv^2(K is constant as K has no dimention ∴we cannot predict it) but we know that here K=1/2

∴ kinetic energy =1/2 MV²
