Answer:

Joule is kg. M^2S-2

Kinetic energy =0.5*MV^2

V^2= K. E / 0.5* M

= 14/(0.5*17)

= 1.6470…

V= square root (1.6470….)

V= 1.283…m/s

As per the data given in the above question.

we have find the kinetic energy.

Given,

Mass,m= 17 kg

speed,v = 12 ms-¹

we know that,

Formula of kinetic energy is

K.E.= \frac{1}{2}  \times m \times  {v}^{2}

Put the values

K.E.= \frac{1}{2}  \times 17 \: kg\times  {(12 \: m {s}^{ - 1} )}^{2}

K.E.= \frac{1}{2}  \times 17 \times 144

K.E.= 1\times 17 \times 72

K.E.= 1224 \: kg \:  {m}^{2}  {s}^{ - 2}

Therefore ,

kinetic Energy is 1224 kg m²s-².
