The L.C.M of two number is 495 and H.C.F is 5 respectively. If sum of these number is 100.Then what is difference between these two number ?

Let the number be x and (100−x)(100−x)

Then x(100−x)=5×495x(100−x)=5×495

=> x2−100x+2475=0x2−100x+2475=0

=> (x−5)(x−45)=0(x−5)(x−45)=0

=> x=55,45x=55,45

The number are 45 and 55

Difference 55−45=10
