the langth of a exceeds the breadth by 6 cm if the langht is increaser by 3 cm and breadth by 2cm , the area remains the same .find the legth and breadth the rectangle

let lenght be x, 
then l=x ; b= x-6
area = x^2 - 6x
new length = x+3
new breadth = x-4
new area = x^2 - x - 12
x^2 - 6x = x^2 -x -12
x^2 -x^2 -6x+x = -12
-5x = -12
x= 12/5
