The large of two supplementary angles exceeds the smaller by 18°. Find the angles.

Solution:

Let suppose angle be x

Other angle be = (180 - x)°

x + 18 = 180 - x

2x = 180 - 18

2x = 162

x = 162/2

x = 81°

Other angle will be ( 180-x) = 180 - 81

= 99°
