QUESTION : the larger of two complementary angles exceeds the smaller by 36 degree find them

WHAT TO DO : FIND THE ANGLES

WE KNOW THAT ;

SUM OF COMPLEMENTARY ANGLES = 360°

LET THE ANGLES BE x AND x + 36°

=> x+x+36=360°

=> 2x+36°=360°

=>2x=360-36

=>x=324÷2

=>x = 162°

1st angle = x = 162°

2nd angle = 36+x = 162 + 36= 198°

ANSWER : 162° , 198°
