ATQ,

x =y +18 ---------------------(1)

We know that, sum of supplementary angles =180°

x+y=180°---------------------(2)

SUBSTITUTE x=y+18 in eq (2)

y+18+y=180°

2y=180-18

2y=162

y=162/2

✓y=81

x=81+18

=99
