Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

let the angle be x

then smaller=x-18

therefore

x+x-18=180

2x-18=180

2x=198

x=99=larger angle

x-18=81=smaller angle

Given :

  • the larger of two supplementary angles exceeds the smaller by 18.

 \\

To Find :

  • The Angles

 \\

Solution :

⟶ The larger of two supplementary angles be x

⟶ Then Other angle will be 180° - x

According to the Question :

⟹ x - (180° - x) = 18°

⟹ x - 180° + x = 18°

⟹ x + x = 18° + 180°

⟹ x + x = 198°

⟹ 2x = 198°

⟹ x = 198° / 2

⟹ x = 99°

________________

Verification :

➟ x - (180° - x) = 18°

➟ x - 180° + x = 18°

➟ 99° - 180° + 99° = 18°

➟ - 81° + 99° = 18°

18° = 18°

Hence Verified

________________

Thus , The Angles are 99° and 180° - x = 180° - 99 = 81°
