• Takes out metabolism of fats, proteins and carbohydrates and

        produces and excretes bile juice.

• It is accountable for the excretion of drugs, cholesterol, bilirubin, and

       hormones and helps in the activation of enzymes.

• It stores glycogen, vitamins and minerals.

• It is accountable to synthesize plasma proteins.

• It detoxifies the blood and purifies it.
