L.C.M of 6,9,and 12 will be 36

so,

we know largest 3 digit number is 999

therefore

we will divide 999 by 36

when 999 will be divided by 36 answer will be 27

(without using calculater)

now,

subtract 27 from 999

You will get 972

Now add 1 (which is remainder) to 972

It will be 973

and this is the answer .
